Hey everyone, I've been following the heartbreaking shooting at Congress Heights, and I wanted to bring up something that's been really bothering me: the role of social media in this case. It's unfortunate how a platform that should connect people ended up being part of such a devastating event. The fact that there was a live video capturing the chaos as it unfolded just emphasizes how desensitized we've become to violence. I can't even imagine what Keosha's family and friends are going through, knowing that moments related to her tragic end were shared online. We should definitely be more mindful of the content we upload and share. If anything, the involvement of social media in this case should make us reflect on how we use these tools – for the sake of both victims' families and our own sense of empathy. Anyone else have thoughts on how we can maybe push for more responsible sharing or even policies to manage violent content? Sending all my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy. Stay safe, everyone.
