I was reading about Stanley Levi's case, and I can't stop thinking about how the community on the South Side of Chicago must have felt back in 2014. It's a bit surreal to see a neighborhood you might know or have heard about being impacted by such relentless violence. One aspect I find particularly intriguing is how community organizations were trying to play a pivotal role during that time. It seems like there were some really dedicated groups trying to intervene and provide support, despite the challenges they faced. I wonder what kind of community programs were actually in place then and if any have evolved or emerged since. It’s important to remember that far too many families have experienced this kind of pain, and every bit of effort by these organizations matters. If anyone is familiar with Greater Grand Crossing or Chicago's community efforts around that time, I'd love to hear more about what was happening on the ground.
