Hi everyone, I’ve been following Matt Christensen’s case for a while, and I can't stop thinking about the role of the surveillance footage during the trial. It’s terrifying to think about how often these crimes occur in places we think of as safe. But in this case, the footage was critical. It must have been incredibly painful for Matt’s family to know that such a thing was recorded, yet I’m grateful it helped ensure justice was served. I’ve noticed that cameras have been instrumental in many trials, but it’s always a double-edged sword. It aids justice, but the trauma it carries is immense. My thoughts are with Matt’s family and friends who had to endure such a public means of securing a conviction. Every time I think about the case, my heart goes out to them. How do you all feel about these kinds of evidence being used in court?
