I was reading about Susan Marie Smith, one of the many innocent lives lost in the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy, and I can't stop thinking about the incredible community support during her memorial. Knowing her family chose to celebrate her life at the Cornerstone Community Church and asked friends and loved ones to wear purple must have created a strong visual reminder of how loved she was. It's such a touching way to honor Susan's memory and keep her vibrant personality alive in everyone's hearts. I hope her family and friends find comfort in these loving gestures and continue to receive the support they need. It’s so important for them to feel that warmth and solidarity, especially when trying to cope with such unimaginable loss. ?
I recently came across some photos from the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas and couldn't help but feel overwhelmed as I spotted Susan Marie Smith among the crowd, looking so joyful and full of life. It's chilling to think that this was just moments before the unimaginable happened. My heart goes out to her family and friends; I can't imagine the pain they must be enduring. Susan's dedication to her community as an Office Manager at Simi Valley School District, where she worked for so many years, really speaks to the kind of person she was—caring, responsible, and committed. She touched so many lives, and the outpouring of support from her community just shows how dearly she was loved. It's these memories and the incredible strength of her family that will keep Susan's spirit alive. If anyone else attended the service in Simi Valley, I'd love to hear your thoughts and memories. We should continue to keep her family in our thoughts and share our support.
