I wasn't personally affected by the Route 91 Harvest festival tragedy, but following Jordan McIldoon's story has been really impactful for me. Beyond the tragedy, what stands out is the love between Jordan and his girlfriend. It’s absolutely devastating that a night, meant to be filled with music and joy, ended so tragically for them. This detail makes it all the more important to remember the victims as real people with their own stories, rather than mere names in a news article. My heart goes out to all who knew Jordan, to those who stood beside him in his final moments, and to his family that has to navigate life without him now. How are we meant to make sense of the senseless? I hope the community continues to rally around them and offer support wherever they can.
Did anyone else find it odd that Stephen Paddock brought ten shooting-range bags with him to Mandalay Bay? It just seems like a curious detail to me. I'm wondering if anyone has insight into why he might have needed that many. I can't help but think about all the stages of planning that went into this tragic act. My heart goes out to Jordan McIldoon's family and all the families affected; it's unimaginable to think of what they're going through while still trying to make sense of so many unanswered questions.
