I've been following Khayman Welch's case closely and something that keeps sticking with me is the comment he made about wanting to disappear. I actually wonder if this statement was overlooked in hindsight? It sounds like he was mentally preparing himself to vanish, maybe as a way to cope or escape. But what strikes me is how this could be a crucial point that's missing in understanding his state of mind leading up to his disappearance.
From what his mother shared about his anxiety and depression struggles, I wonder if he was planning something more permanent or if it was a momentary wish to just get away? It's tough because the signs were there, but if he made any actual plans, none seem to have surfaced. Does this comment change the nature of the search? Could he have found a way to start fresh somewhere, or did he simply get lost while trying to clear his mind? Such a tough thing to ponder, praying for any leads that could bring peace to his family.
