I just came across this case and I'm struck by how tragic and senseless it is. I've been thinking a lot about the role of property management and homeowners associations in situations like this. From what I understand, the house that was supposedly the intended target had a long history of complaints. It’s hard not to wonder just what kind of action (or inaction) those managing the property took when they became aware of these issues. Could earlier intervention have changed the outcome? It's such a heavy burden, considering how their inaction may have indirectly led to the wrong house being targeted. How far does the responsibility extend when it comes to these entities maintaining a safe environment? My heart goes out to Angie and her family for their unimaginable loss. I hope they find the justice and peace they deserve.
