It has been nine years since James K. McCoy was tragically taken from us, and it's deeply frustrating to realize how cases like this can still remain unsolved for so long. My heart definitely goes out to his family and friends who have been waiting for answers and justice that seem so elusive in Chicago's ongoing battle against gun violence. It’s disheartening to know that, despite the dedicated efforts of investigators, obstacles such as the lack of witnesses continue to hinder progress. It’s so important to keep these cases in the public eye, not only for the chance that new leads might come forward, but to ensure that all victims are remembered. James was more than just another statistic, and the toll on his community is real. I can only hope that with time, breakthroughs happen and those responsible are held accountable. If anyone happens to come across any updates, his loved ones deserve to know.
