I’m still trying to wrap my head around what happened at the Wynn in March 2021. It's just such a senseless loss, and my heart truly goes out to the loved ones of Yoseph Almonte. What’s been weighing on me is the role of mental health in this whole tragedy. From what I've gathered, Reggie Tagget had been in a really bad mental space before returning to the hotel. It sounds like he was in deep financial trouble and his family was genuinely worried about him, especially since he’d left his phone behind and had been asking his kids for money. It makes me wonder if there could have been more proactive mental health support systems in place, not just at Wynn but more generally, for employees who might be struggling. It's sad to think what might have been different if he had gotten some help before things spiraled so far out of control. No one should have to reach that level of desperation without support. I hope this case prompts some companies to think long and hard about employee well-being beyond just physical safety. It’s a heartbreaking reminder of how important these issues are. ?

I've been thinking a lot about the mental health aspect of the tragic incident involving Yoseph Almonte and Reggie Tagget. It's so profoundly sad when we consider that Reggie's family was already worried before this incident due to his erratic behavior and the fact that he had left his phone behind and taken his mother's car. It's tough to imagine the torment he must have been going through, and even more so, the impact his actions had on Yoseph and his loved ones. It seems like Reggie might have been in a desperate place, and I wish he had found the help he needed before everything spiraled out of control. It's crucial that we shine a light on mental health and the resources available for individuals in crisis. Perhaps stronger intervention options or more accessible sources of support might have prevented this tragic outcome. My heart goes out to Yoseph's family and friends, who must navigate this unimaginable loss, and also to Reggie's family, who have to grapple with the aftermath and unanswered questions. It’s a stark reminder of the importance of checking in on our loved ones and ensuring they have the support they need.
