I’ve been following the Ronald Moore case closely, and something that's been gnawing at me is the phone conversation between Byron Manning and his ex. Can you even begin to imagine the horror she must have felt receiving that call? Not only is she faced with the loss of her brother, but to have the perpetrator—a person she once shared a close relationship with—laugh during that call? It’s beyond comprehension. My heart goes out to her because she’s dealing with unimaginable loss and betrayal from someone she thought she knew. I hope she's getting the support she needs to navigate this. It’s a stark reminder of how layered the impact of such a crime can be.
