Has anyone else been following the Deon Gilbert case? I just can't stop thinking about how he was such a bright young man with all those dreams and ambitions ahead of him. Hearing about his involvement in the church and his plans to become an architect really hits home. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are going through this unimaginable pain. It's frustrating that we continue to see young lives cut short by gun violence. How do we come together as a community to ensure our kids can pursue their dreams safely? Would love to hear others' thoughts or if there’s any movement towards change in Chicago that we should know about.
