Hey folks, I was just thinking about how often domestic disputes can tragically escalate into something so irreversible and devastating. I've been following the discussions about Donald Corbett's death in '93, and my heart really goes out to his loved ones. It's always hard to digest how a situation between two people, which might have seemed normal one moment, could end in such a tragic loss. It's a stark reminder of the importance of recognizing the signs of domestic trouble and getting help when it's needed. I'm curious if anyone knows more about support systems or outreach programs that were available in Colorado Springs back then? It's crucial we keep these discussions going to maybe prevent future tragedies.
I've been thinking a lot about the lack of information surrounding Donald Corbett's death, and it's really unsettling. It's almost as if his case has been overshadowed by the horrific crimes of Glenn and Michael Corbett, but his life and tragic death deserve recognition too. There hasn't been much attention to the people involved in his case, especially his girlfriend, who apparently was the one that shot him. It makes me wonder if enough was done to bring justice or if the focus on the more notorious crimes allowed this case to slip through the cracks. Domestic violence is such a serious issue, and it's painful to see how little we know about what happened on that day in 1993. If anyone has more information or new insights, it would be great to shed some light on this lesser-known tragedy. Donald was more than just part of a statistic in violent crimes; he was someone's loved one, and his story matters too. ?

Donald was a huge caring individual who was like a big brother to me. He was in the army stationed at ft Carson and him and 3 of his close friends/coworkers came to our families house in black forest quite often so they could ride horses and escape the military base. His gf killed him in cold blood.

Thank you for keeping Donald's memory alive and letting us know what kind of man he was. My heart goes out to you and his family for going through this.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share some thoughts on the Donald Corbett case from '93. It's really unsettling how domestic disputes can escalate into something so tragic. Donald's death might not have attracted the same attention as the spree killings by Glenn and Corbett in '75, but it doesn't diminish the gravity of the situation.
It's important to remember that behind these cases are real people affected by the loss. I feel for Donald's family and friends, who probably still have unanswered questions and unresolved feelings all these years later. The lack of detailed information about what happened that night must be incredibly frustrating for those seeking closure.
Even if this case didn’t make the headlines like the others, it highlights how important it is to shine a light on domestic violence issues and the need for support systems. Does anyone else have more information on what happened afterwards? Thanks for keeping the discussion respectful and thoughtful.
Stay safe, all.
