Has anyone else been following the Daniel Wheeler case from Coos Bay? I've been trying to piece together any new developments since he went missing in late 2020, but it seems like things have quieted down. I read somewhere that he was very active in his local community. Could there be a connection to one of the places or groups he was involved with? Sometimes people vanish because they travel familiar routes or meet with familiar faces. Maybe someone knows something but hasn't realized its significance yet? This might be a long shot, but has anyone heard about any recent searches or community events that might've highlighted new leads or information? Keeping this on everyone's radar might just jog someone's memory. Thoughts, anyone?

Have you guys seen the discussions about Daniel Wheeler? I've been going through some news articles and community posts, and I noticed something interesting but not often talked about. Apparently, Daniel was quite the local historian, known for his captivating storytelling about Coos Bay's past. It's been said he'd often take long walks, exploring historical sites around town. I'm wondering if anyone has looked into whether he might've veered off during one of his walks into an area less traveled or perhaps stumbled upon something unusual? Given how passionate he was about local history, it might be worth considering this angle. Maybe there's someone on this forum familiar with the lesser-known trails or sites he liked to visit? Just a thought that might help unearth something new in his case.
