Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Michael Leighton, the teacher and coach who was tragically shot at that car wash. It’s such a devastating loss for his students and fellow teachers at Smoky Hill High School and the Estate I-Team. I can't stop thinking about what a difference he made in his students' lives. They say he had this incredible way of connecting with them, especially those who were at risk or going through a tough time. I imagine it's a huge blow to them not just losing a teacher, but someone who truly cared about their success and well-being. It breaks my heart that a community has lost someone so dedicated. It makes me wonder about the impact teachers like Michael have, and how this tragedy has created an irreplaceable gap. I hope anyone with information comes forward soon so his family in Ohio can have some semblance of justice. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected.
