Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the aftermath of Agent Michael Del Thomas’s murder and how it impacted his fellow officers in Aurora. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for them to return to work and carry on without their colleague and friend. The bond among officers is usually pretty tight, and losing one under such violent circumstances would no doubt be incredibly tough. Does anyone know if there were any changes made within the department after this tragedy, like increased safety protocols or support for the officers? I’m curious how departments handle such a tremendous loss and what kind of support systems they put in place to help everyone cope. My heart goes out to his fellow officers and, of course, to his family. It’s hard to fathom the pain they've had to endure these past years. ? Thanks for any insights or thoughts you might have.
