I've been thinking a lot about the Michael Bailey case recently, and something that's been on my mind is the impact that social media had on his family during such a difficult time. Can you imagine finding out about the passing of a loved one through Facebook? It's so hard to comprehend and must have added an immense layer of confusion and hurt to an already tragic situation.
I really hope this serves as a wake-up call for authorities and society in general. There needs to be a more sensitive and structured process for delivering such life-altering news. The last thing anyone should deal with in the aftermath of losing someone is the invasive nature of social media stepping in before an official, compassionate message can.
Also, the lack of updates on any suspect or arrest is frustrating. Justice for Michael and his family should be a priority. I hope the case gets more attention and that information comes to light soon. If anyone has any updates or thoughts on how these processes could be improved, please share. Michael's family deserves better.
