Has anyone else been following the trial of the two teens charged with Darren Bloomquist's murder? I’ve been reading up about the sentencing and came across Dasean Perry getting 48 years for this awful crime. It’s chilling to think about how a seemingly ordinary night could turn so tragic. I can’t wrap my head around what compels such young individuals to commit such premeditated violence. My heart goes out to Darren’s family and friends who will never get their beloved Darren back. I hope they find some solace in the justice served. The bravery of Darren, an Air Force vet just trying to earn a living, should not be forgotten as we reflect on the dangers faced by workers in similar roles. What are others' thoughts on how we can prevent tragedies like this from happening in the future?
