I can't stop thinking about the impact Corporal Carrigan had on the kids at Platte Canyon High School. The news mentioned he was a School Resource Officer and also coached baseball and football. It just breaks my heart that those students lost not only a mentor but someone they looked up to every day at school. It's clear he touched many lives deeply, and his absence must be felt everywhere in that community—from classrooms to baseball fields.
I can't imagine how difficult it must be for his colleagues and the students to cope with this loss. He really seemed like the kind of person who went above and beyond, not just in his role as a deputy but by investing in the next generation. I'm sending all my thoughts to his family, friends, and the entire community as they navigate this devastating time. If anyone was close to him or the school, I'd love to hear your stories in honor of his memory.
I can't stop thinking about the impact Corporal Carrigan had on the kids at Platte Canyon High. As a School Resource Officer and coach, he must have shaped countless young lives, not just through sports, but by being a positive role model. It’s devastating to think of the void left for those students who looked up to him. A trusted mentor in the school environment does so much to foster a sense of safety and support, and it’s hard to imagine how the community is coping without his presence. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and all the students and faculty who knew and loved him. It’s crucial we remember how much he contributed and keep his memory alive in the community.
