I've been following Brenda Lee Martinez's case, and something that troubles me is how prepared Gary Lynn Wideman seemed when he returned to the Extra Point Bar. It's hard to believe this was a spontaneous act. The fact that he retrieved a gun from his car indicates some level of premeditation. It's terrifying to think how one person's actions can ripple out, impacting so many lives in an instant. Brenda's friends, family, and the community remain in my thoughts as they navigate this unimaginable loss. How do we heal from such acts of violence? My heart goes out to everyone affected.
