I’ve been following the McDaniels case, and one detail that really stands out to me is the courage of the 9-year-old boy who managed to escape. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma he endured that night, witnessing such a horrible event and then finding the strength to run for help. It's remarkable that he thought quickly enough to seek safety and contact authorities. This young boy has a long road ahead of him in terms of healing, and I hope he is surrounded by love and support as he processes this. Sending thoughts of peace and resilience to him and all those affected by this senseless tragedy.
