Has anyone noticed how many young cab drivers seem to go missing? Richard Watchempino Jr.'s case really got me thinking about how dangerous this line of work can be, especially back in the early '80s. I mean, we're talking about long hours, late nights, and picking up strangers without knowing their intentions. It makes you wonder if there was some kind of pattern or if it was just truly bad luck. Richard's case is particularly haunting because he was last heard from on April 10, 1981, and then just nothing. No one should vanish without a trace like that. It feels like cab drivers were especially vulnerable during that era. I’ve come across some other stories where drivers have simply vanished. Does anyone else know of more cases like this? Or maybe any info about what Richard's last known fare was?

Hey everyone, I've been digging into Richard Watchempino Jr.'s case, and something that's got me thinking is the Miami cab scene back in the early '80s. Considering he was a cab driver at the time he disappeared, I wonder what kind of risks were involved in that line of work back then. Miami was a bustling city, and I've read that crime rates were pretty high during that period. Does anyone know if there were any notable incidents involving cab drivers around that time? Were there specific routes or areas that were considered particularly dangerous? I'm hoping this angle might shed some light on possible leads or if anyone might remember something unusual from that era that could help. Would love to hear your thoughts or any local insight!
