Has anyone here been following the Suni Marie Grooms case? I’ve been thinking a lot about how we often overlook the signs of domestic turmoil until it's too late. It's so upsetting to think that someone as caring and compassionate as a nurse could be trapped in such a dire situation. I wonder if Suni had tried reaching out to anyone for help or if she felt like she had to keep everything hidden. As someone who works in healthcare, Suni must have been surrounded by people who cared for her and her baby. It's just really unsettling to think about how isolated she might have felt. My heart goes out to her friends and family, especially those who might have seen warning signs but didn't know what they meant at the time. I hope this serves as a wake-up call to be more vigilant and supportive of those around us.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following the case of Suni Marie Grooms and her baby, Atlas, and I can't stop thinking about how many people might have been affected by this tragedy beyond her immediate circle. As someone who lived just a few miles from Platt Park, I’ve seen firsthand how tight-knit and supportive our community can be. A friend of mine who knew Suni through work mentioned how dedicated and caring she was as a nurse. It’s clear she touched many lives, not only through her profession but also as a friend and a mother. It’s just so painful to think about how the promise of Atlas’s life was stolen before her story even had a chance to begin. I hope this case prompts more conversations about the often-hidden struggles within relationships and how we, as a community, can be more vigilant and supportive. Mental health resources and domestic violence awareness are so crucial and potentially life-saving. My heart goes out to everyone who’s mourning this unimaginable loss. Take care, everyone, and please, if you or anyone you know is in a situation that doesn’t feel right, reach out for help. Sending strength to those who need it.
