I've been thinking about the case and particularly the moment when Michael Swinyard was killed near Cheesman Park. It just breaks your soul to think of someone's life being taken so violently in a place as serene as Cheesman. ? I live in the area, and to know such darkness invaded our neighborhood is horrifying. I can't stop wondering if maybe there were signs in McLeod's previous investigations that might have foreshadowed these actions. Why didn't the warnings lead to something more preventative? Sending strength and light to Michael Swinyard's family and friends during this unbelievably difficult time. It's crucial that we keep having these discussions and pushing for changes to prevent such tragedies in the future.
