Has anyone looked into whether Duane Maney might have had connections to local shelters in the Houston area? Given that he was possibly homeless around the time he vanished, it's possible he might have sought assistance from shelters or soup kitchens. These places often have records or staff who might remember individuals, even from years back. If he sought any help, there might be somebody out there who remembers him or at least saw him around that time. It could be a long shot, but it might be worth reaching out to some of these organizations to see if they have any archives or staff available to recall past individuals they assisted. It sometimes seems like the smallest detail can lead to a breakthrough in these cases.
Hi everyone,

I’ve been following Duane Maney’s case, and I stumbled across something interesting: the fact that he was added to the NamUs database in 2021. Does anyone know if this typically means there's some new development or lead? I mean, over 30 years after he went missing, it’s intriguing that this move was made.

I’m wondering if this could indicate renewed interest or maybe some previously undiscovered information that led to adding his case now. Could it be standard procedure for older cases or something else? Curious to hear your thoughts or if anyone has seen similar scenarios.
