Just learned about Pat Garrett's murder and I'm so intrigued by the role Albert Bacon Fall played in Wayne Brazel's defense. Considering Fall would later be embroiled in one of the biggest scandals in U.S. history (the Teapot Dome scandal), I can't help but wonder about the connections and potential influences during Brazel's trial. It's unsettling to think someone who was later involved in such corruption held Garrett's fate in his hands. Despite everything seeming stacked in Brazel's favor and the outcome of the trial, does anyone else feel there might have been more behind the scenes that affected the verdict? Really feel for Garrett’s family who had to endure such a controversial verdict, given Garrett's reputation and service.

Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the Pat Garrett case, and something that puzzles me is the role of Carl Adamson in all of this. The man was there when Garrett got shot, yet he just walked away with Brazel after Garrett was killed. It’s strange how he was let off so easily without much scrutiny. I mean, if Adamson saw the whole thing, as Brazel claimed, why wasn’t his testimony more pivotal in the trial? Also, the idea of him just standing by while this all went down seems too casual for someone witnessing a murder. Could his connection to Albert Bacon Fall mean more than we thought? Fall was a pretty powerful attorney and later a well-known political figure, so I wonder if his influence might have played a part in the case’s outcome. It just seems odd that someone so close to Pat during his final moments didn’t offer more information or be held accountable for not doing more to help. Thoughts or insights? Anyone else think Adamson’s role deserves a closer look? RIP Pat Garrett, still hoping for justice someday.
