It's puzzling how Jurgen Stockburger's case was only added to NamUs in 2021, such a long time after he disappeared in 1991. I wonder if there was any specific event or new evidence around that time that prompted it to finally be listed. Did someone advocate for it? It seems so crucial to keep these cases in the public eye, especially after so many years. With his unique scars and eye color, it feels like someone should have recognized him if he was still around. What’s even more baffling is that he was supposed to leave for Germany, but it doesn't look like he ever boarded a flight. Has anyone looked into his connections in San Diego during that time? Maybe someone there holds the key to what happened.

I came across Jurgen Stockburger's case while looking through some old missing person reports, and it really stood out to me because of the lack of information on what happened to him after he was prepping to head back to Germany. It's weird that he was planning to leave and then just vanished. I’m curious if there was any evidence that he actually made it to the airport or if he was ever seen there. San Diego in the early '90s wasn’t as sophisticated with surveillance as it is today, so I guess a lot of things could fly under the radar. I wonder if there are people around that area who might have seen something or remember something without realizing its importance. Anyone local from San Diego with connections or stories from that era?
