It's truly tragic to think about the young family Officer Larry Brian Mitchell left behind. Being only 23 years old and having served with the Gallup Police Department for four years, his dedication was evident, and he still had so much to give. My heart goes out to his wife and especially his son, who was only two at the time. It's a harsh reminder of the risks officers take every day to keep their communities safe. For those who knew him personally and worked alongside him, the loss must be indescribable. It's important that we continue to support their family and remember his sacrifice. 34 years never feels like enough for taking away such a promising life, but hopefully, it provides some solace to those who loved him. Just wanted to share my thoughts and respect for a fallen hero.
