Has anyone else been following the Carlos Rueda case? It's haunting to think about how a celebration turned into such a devastating event. I can't stop thinking about Carlos's family and how they must be feeling right now. I read that the shooting happened in a bedroom where everyone was ringing in the New Year. It must have been a small, intimate gathering, and having such an awful event unfold in what should have been a safe space is unimaginable.
Ryan Wathen being a friend makes it even more surreal. I wonder what led to this tragic turn of events in the first place. Was it an argument gone wrong? Or something more accidental? Obviously, we can’t know everything, but it leaves me feeling uneasy about how quickly things can change in a moment.
