I've been following Ray Gurule's case and just can't get over how deeply connected his death is to the broader issue of group violence in Albuquerque. It must be incredibly difficult for Ray's family and friends knowing that his life was taken as a result of such a senseless and tragic situation. I read that there were multiple individuals involved and at least two arrests made, which hopefully means that justice will be served in some capacity. It's honestly frustrating to see these discussions of group-related violence and confrontations surface again and again. It’s a reminder of how critical it is for the community and law enforcement to work together to reduce these kinds of violent acts. I hope we continue to push for answers, not only for Ray but for other victims who have been caught up in similar circumstances. Anyone else feel like these group dynamics make it even tougher to get to the bottom of things?
