I’ve been following the Aztec High School shooting case and, like many of you, I can’t stop thinking about the teachers and their quick actions that day. I can only imagine the courage it took for them to act so swiftly and to protect the students under such intense pressure. It’s truly a testament to their bravery and dedication, which undoubtedly saved many lives. This case is so hard to wrap my head around, especially knowing that it could have been far worse without their intervention. My heart goes out to the entire school community, and I hope that the ongoing discussions can lead to improvements in school safety. Let's honor the memory of those lost by pushing for changes that ensure such tragedies never happen again.

I've been following the case of the tragic Aztec High School shooting, and I keep thinking about the teachers' quick actions during the attack. It's truly incredible how they managed to barricade their classroom doors amidst such chaos. I can't imagine the intense fear and confusion they must have been feeling, yet their quick thinking undoubtedly saved countless lives that day. My heart goes out to the families of Casey Jordan Marquez and Francisco Fernandez. Both were so young, with bright futures ahead of them. It's also so gut-wrenching to hear that Casey's family felt the need to file lawsuits to seek accountability after such a loss. I really hope they find some sense of justice and peace in all of this, although I'm sure nothing can truly make up for the absence of such a vibrant life. The community must still be feeling the ripple effects of this terrible day.
