Does anyone else feel an overwhelming sense of injustice whenever they think about the Tres Piedras case? I mean, thank goodness there have finally been charges, but it took years to get there. I keep thinking about how Nathan Faccio and Nirvana Sisneros’s lives were cut short so suddenly, and their families have had to wait all this time for some semblance of accountability. The community has been holding its breath, hoping for answers. That stretch of time between the incident and the arrests must’ve been torturous for everyone involved. The strength of their loved ones during this process is incredibly inspiring. Let's hope that the legal process plays out and brings some peace to those who’ve been suffering all these years. Gun violence really does leave scars far deeper than we can measure.
