I can't stop thinking about the bravery and resilience of Stephen Mitchell. Being shot multiple times and still managing to survive is beyond words. The trauma he must have endured and continues to endure is unimaginable. I hope he has found strong support to help him through this. It also makes me reflect on the randomness of how events unfolded that night - how some survived and others didn’t. These incidents leave lasting marks, not just on the families of the victims, but also on the survivors and the wider community. I truly hope Stephen has found a path towards healing and peace after facing such a terrifying ordeal. This community really should rally around him and offer all the support we can.

Has anyone else been thinking about what could have led a 16-year-old to commit such a horrific act? I can't get over the fact that Josef Toney was just a teenager when this happened. It just raises so many questions about what might have been going on in his life prior to that night. Was there something more to his background that could have contributed to his decisions? It’s so tragic to think how different paths in life could have prevented this. My heart aches for Aerial and Jessica's families, who have to live with the loss of their loved ones, and also for Stephen, who survived but has to deal with the emotional and physical scars. I hope the victims' families find some measure of peace as they continue to process everything that happened.

I've been following the tragic events at the Aztec Village Apartments, and my heart goes out to the families of Aerial Mallam and Jessica Casaus Lucero. What stood out to me is the bravery of Stephen Mitchell, who survived after being shot three times. It's truly remarkable that he managed to endure such a violent encounter. I can't imagine the trauma he must have gone through, both physically and emotionally, not to mention the courage it took for him to testify and help bring Josef Toney to justice. His strength under such dire circumstances is something that shouldn't be overlooked. It’s critical that communities rally behind survivors like Stephen, offering support and standing as a reminder that even amidst tragedy, resilience can shine through. Has anyone heard how he's doing now or if there have been any community efforts to support victims like him?
