Just thinking about the arrest of Salas got me reflecting on the intense behind-the-scenes work that must've gone into tracking him down. Huge kudos to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and all the law enforcement folks who worked tirelessly to close in on him. I can't imagine the sense of relief—however small it might be—for Jose's family knowing the suspect has been apprehended. It’s unsettling to think about how someone could be on the run after committing such an awful act, but it’s comforting to know that agencies worked together so cohesively across state lines. It feels reassuring to see that justice is being pursued with such dedication, especially when the whole community is grieving the loss of someone well-loved. I hope this offers some peace to those who knew Jose and serves as a message that crimes like this won't be overlooked. Anyone else have thoughts on how such collaborative efforts impact these kinds of cases?
