Does anyone remember when Wilma Jean Norwood’s disappearance was initially covered in the local news back in '01? I've been doing some deep dives into old newspaper archives and it's really surprising how little coverage her case got at the time. It's almost like she vanished without a trace and hardly anyone noticed outside of her family and community. You’d think a missing person case would get more attention, but there were so few articles about her. It makes me wonder if that affected the investigation in some way. With the media’s spotlight so crucial in generating tips and keeping cases alive, this lack of initial attention might have set the whole investigation back from the start. Anyone here from St. Louis or remember any details from the time that didn't make it into the papers? It’d be interesting to hear some firsthand accounts or memories.

Has anyone else come across the details about the car Wilma Jean Norwood might have been driving when she disappeared? I have been looking through various forums and reports, but there's hardly anything about if she had access to any vehicle or public transportation. It seems like such an important piece of the puzzle, especially considering how easily transportation can be used to trace someone's last movements. If anyone has any info about this, or can point me toward where I might find more details, it would be really helpful. Either way, let's keep Wilma's case in our thoughts and hope something new comes to light soon.
