It's been over thirty years since we lost Tricia, and I can't imagine the pain her loved ones have endured all this time. One thing that's been on my mind is Rodney Daniel’s behavior leading up to her tragic death. How is it that he was allowed to stay in the home?
I read that he had previously threatened Tricia, which just makes my stomach turn. I feel for her foster family and wonder if they ever saw signs or if Rodney's threatening behavior was reported to anyone before it was too late. It's chilling to think that someone with such a clear history of violence could go on without consequence for so long.
This just goes to show how important it is to take threats seriously, especially when they come from someone with access to firearms. My heart is with all of Tricia's family, and I hope they can find some solace now that justice has been served.
It's so hard to wrap my mind around how this case had gone unsolved for so long. I keep thinking about that key witness from the second-floor apartment. It must have been incredibly difficult to carry the burden of what he saw for all these years. I can't imagine the frustration and feelings of helplessness he might have felt. Seeing someone in distress and not being able to intervene must have been a heavy weight on his heart. His decision to come forward now shows immense courage and has played a pivotal role in getting justice for Tricia. I hope he finds some peace in knowing that his testimony made a difference. My thoughts are with Tricia's family and friends, who have waited so long for this resolution.
