I was reading through some old news reports about Kevin Duren’s case, and something really struck me. It’s so unsettling how the corner of Turner and Crowell Streets just became frozen in time for those who knew him. I can’t even imagine what it must be like for his family and friends to pass by there, knowing it’s the last place he was seen alive. It’s frustrating that after all these years, people with information still haven’t come forward. Fear of retaliation is real, especially when gangs are involved, but it’s just sad to see the silence still prevailing. His family deserves so much better. Does anyone know if there have been any recent efforts to encourage people to speak up? Maybe some community outreach or anything from local organizations? This needs to be talked about more to crack those barriers down.
Hey everyone,
I've been revisiting some cold cases, and Kevin Duren's name popped up again. It breaks my heart thinking about the pain his family must continue to endure, all these years later. One aspect of the case that stands out to me is the location where he was found. The corner of Turner and Crowell has unfortunately become a symbol of a tragedy that should never have happened. Does anyone else find it unsettling how places like these can carry such heavy memories? I truly hope those who know something about that fateful night come forward soon. Maybe bringing more awareness to such spots can help remind others that justice still needs to be served. What are everyone’s thoughts on how the community can help turn these eerie reminders into beacons of hope for cases like Kevin’s? Sending strength and hope to his family.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Kevin Duren's case, and something that stands out to me is the area where his life was taken. Turner and Crowell Streets sound like they might've been regular hangout spots for teens back then. I'm wondering if anyone from Brockton remembers what the vibe was like around that intersection during the mid-90s. Was it known for any particular activity or was it just a spot kids would pass through?
Also, it's incredibly disheartening to think about how the fear of coming forward might be keeping answers locked away. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for his family. To anyone with possible leads, I urge you to reach out and help. Kevin's family deserves to know what happened all those years ago.
Has anyone else heard anything more about the other theories, like the possibility of a dispute over a girl? It might seem minor compared to gang theories, but sometimes these small connections unravel big truths. Hoping one day soon someone takes the step to share what they know.
Stay safe and take care,
