Has anyone looked into the possibility of Javier Herrera having any connections outside of El Paso? Sometimes when cases go cold, it's because something's been overlooked, and movement beyond the known area might be key. Maybe he had friends or business dealings in nearby cities or even across the border? It’s just puzzling how there haven't been any significant leads in all these years. It might be worthwhile to re-examine his social circles back then, even casual acquaintances, to see if there's anything that was missed. Thoughts?

Anyone else remember hearing about Javier Herrera back when he first went missing? I was living in El Paso at the time, and it was such a head-scratcher. I’ve always wondered if there was any connection to the border area since it’s so close geographically. It just seems like one of those cases where something might have slipped through the cracks because of all the movement between Texas and Mexico. I know it’s just speculation, but with very little information being shared over the years, it’s hard not to wonder if that aspect was ever thoroughly explored. What do you all think? Anyone have any insight into how border cases are typically handled in missing persons investigations?

Hey everyone, I'm diving into the case of Javier Herrera who vanished way back in 2004 from El Paso. Something that's been keeping me thinking: how does someone just disappear off the face of the Earth in a place like El Paso? For anyone not familiar, El Paso's got a substantial population, not to mention being a major city along the U.S.-Mexico border. It seems like it would be tough to just vanish without a trace, right? I'm curious if there were any surveillance cameras in the area back then that might've caught something, but I assume they would've been looked at (if they even existed in that neighborhood). Given the passage of time, I wonder if any new technologies or methods could be used to re-examine older footage or data. I wish there was more information on what, if any, digital evidence was ever collected. Maybe someone here with law enforcement experience can share how investigators might go about revisiting old cases like this with today's tech? It's definitely a difficult task but not impossible, I hope. As always, sending thoughts to Javier's family. I'm hoping against hope for some new leads or breakthroughs. If anybody has more info or even theories as to why there hasn't been more progress on this, I'd be really interested to hear them.
