I’ve been reading about the Wakefield tragedy lately and wanted to share some thoughts about Cheryl Anne Troy, who was the Director of Human Resources at Edgewater Technology. By all accounts, she seemed like the kind of person who cared deeply for her colleagues and her role at the company. It’s so upsetting to think of her being taken in such a tragic way. HR can be a thankless job, but Cheryl embraced it, helping to resolve issues and support employees, which, in a way, made the workplace more like a community. Her loss isn't just felt by her family, but by all those she touched through her work. It's truly haunting to think of all the lives affected, not just those who were lost that day, but also the people who loved them and have had to carry on. Wishing peace to Cheryl’s family and everyone else touched by this terrible act. They’re in my thoughts.
