Has anyone come across any updates about how the community in Lawrence is doing after the tragedy involving Matilde Gabin? I remember reading about the murder-suicide in 2015, and it's hard to imagine the pain her family and friends must have gone through. I can't stop thinking about how traumatic that must have been for those who knew and loved Matilde. It's such a stark reminder of the dire consequences of unchecked domestic violence. I hope that, through outreach and community support, we can prevent future tragedies like this. If anyone has information about any memorials or initiatives that have been started in Matilde's name, I would love to hear about them. Keeping her and her loved ones in my thoughts.

I've been thinking a lot about the neighbors who might have witnessed or heard the tragic events that unfolded on July 14, 2015. It must be incredibly difficult to live near a place where such a devastating incident occurred. I can only imagine the range of emotions they felt—shock, fear, and sadness—not to mention how Matilde’s family and friends must be carrying the heavier emotional burden. It's a stark reminder of how domestic violence can impact not just the victim and perpetrator but also the broader community. Did anyone hear if there were any signs beforehand that something like this could happen? It’s so important for friends and family to recognize and act if they suspect something’s wrong, but sometimes it’s not as clear-cut. Sending love and strength to all who knew Matilde and everyone in Lawrence who was affected by this senseless act. May she be remembered for the joy and light she brought into the world, not just the tragedy of her death.
