Hi everyone. I've been following the discussions around Jason Brandao's tragic death, and it's so hard to wrap my head around the senseless nature of violence in our communities. I wanted to touch on the resilience of the local residents in Dorchester, who face these challenges almost daily. It's incredibly difficult to know your neighborhood can turn dangerous at a moment's notice, especially for families with kids who just want a safe space to grow up. I also wanted to highlight how the local community groups have been trying to push back against the violence by organizing events that promote peace and unity. It's heartening to see neighbors coming together, reclaiming their streets, and supporting each other in the wake of such a tragedy. I hope law enforcement gets to the bottom of this case soon, but in the meantime, let's keep the conversation going about how we can make our neighborhoods safer. Sending my thoughts to Jason's loved ones—his memory deserves justice and peace.
