I came across something really interesting and troubling when looking into the Edward Kelly Spangler case. Has anyone else taken a closer look at the timeline and the phone records surrounding the night of February 16, 2014? I noted some discrepancies that make me wonder about the full extent of Shannon Bettencourt's involvement.
There's been a lot of focus on Francis Weaver due to his notorious family background, but Bettencourt's connections and actions that night deserve more scrutiny. It seems that less attention has been given to her role and potential influence in orchestrating the plot alongside the others. Was she just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was her involvement deeper than what has been reported?
Also, Spangler's background has little to no reports of violent tendencies, which makes it all so devastating. It's sad to think about how he got tangled up in something that ended so tragically. My thoughts are with Alice Spangler and the rest of his family who undoubtedly are still grappling with this loss every day.
Would love to hear what others think about this angle. I feel like justice is so complicated in cases like this, where so many lives are forever changed.

It must be incredibly tough for Spangler’s family to deal with not just the loss, but the almost surreal circumstances surrounding it. Imagine the emotional toll of learning that the person responsible for your loved one's death is part of a family infamous for other heinous acts. My thoughts are with Alice Spangler and her family; this is an unimaginable burden to carry.
