Hi all,
I've been following the tragic case of Erick Austin Carnegie, and something that's been on my mind a lot is the community's role in cases like this. It's so hard to see a young life taken away, and it must be agonizing for Erick's family and friends to still have no answers. It makes me wonder how many people might have information without even realizing it.
Portland is a big city, but it's also a place where people care deeply about one another. I hope that someone, somewhere, remembers something — even if it seems small or insignificant. Sometimes the tiniest detail can make a huge difference in investigations like this.
If you're from the area or were around Gresham back then, please consider if there’s anything you might have noticed that seemed off or unusual. Maybe it’s just something you overheard or a strange vehicle that caught your eye. Your tip could be the piece of the puzzle that helps bring justice for Erick and some peace to a grieving family.
Stay safe, everyone, and let's keep Erick and his loved ones in our thoughts.

I’ve been following Erick Austin Carnegie’s case, and it’s so deeply unfair that his family hasn’t gotten any answers yet. One detail I can't stop thinking about is how the shooting happened during the early morning hours. Has anyone else considered what might have led Erick to be at that location at that time? It seems like such an odd hour for such a tragedy to occur. Maybe he was meeting someone, or possibly just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope the community continues to share any information they might have, no matter how small. Families deserve to know what happened to their loved ones, and the person responsible needs to be held accountable. It’s infuriating that no suspects have been identified after so many years. Thoughts with Erick's family and friends as they go through this incredibly tough time.
