Have any of you looked into how many disappearances occur near the second U.S. checkpoint around Sarita? Juan Carlos Chavez Serrano vanished in that area back in May 2016, and I can't help but wonder if there's something specific about that location. Are there any patterns or similar cases with other migrants disappearing near this checkpoint? It'd be great to gather more info and see if there’s a broader issue here that needs addressing.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Juan Carlos Chavez Serrano and something that's been on my mind is the area where he vanished. The second checkpoint near Sarita, TX, is known for being heavily patrolled and quite tense. It makes me wonder if anyone else has noticed how some areas with intense security seem ironically to have more missing persons reports? Especially for migrants like Chavez Serrano who’re already taking risky routes. I’ve read about people in similar situations who just vanish, and it’s terrifying to think how isolated those spots can be. Has there been any mention of increased search efforts or perhaps more patrols due to his case? It just seems baffling how someone gets lost with so much surveillance around. Would love to hear thoughts or any info others might have.

Has anyone looked into the conditions around the time Juan Carlos Chavez Serrano disappeared? I've been researching this era and place, and there were several reports of severe weather around the Texas border in early May 2016. It makes me wonder if the weather could have played a role in his disappearance. Crossing the border is perilous enough, but adding bad weather could have made the situation even more dangerous. Did the search efforts consider environmental factors like flooding or strong currents in rivers around that time? I feel like this might be a piece of the puzzle that's not getting much attention. Any thoughts?
