Has anyone else been following the civil lawsuit against Justin Coleman? It's been filed by the Estate of Bethany Noelle Schuch, and it seems crucial in highlighting the broader issue of gun control and responsibility. Coleman's actions didn't just violate the law; they had tragic consequences.
While some people might argue about the interpretations of gun rights, it's hard to ignore how a lack of due diligence contributed significantly to this tragedy. Bethany and David’s families are forced to deal with an unbearable reality, certainly compounded by the fact that this might have been preventable.
I'm really interested to hear how it unfolds in court and what kind of precedent it might set for future cases. Does anyone think this case could influence stricter enforcement of background checks, at least in OR? It's clear that such enforcement might prevent senseless losses like this one. Thoughts?
