I’ve been following the case surrounding the tragic events at Bar Fly's Grill, and one aspect that really hits me is the timeline it took to finally bring justice for Tyler Longacre. It’s almost surreal to think Harris was apprehended nearly nine months after the incident, all the way in Georgia. For Tyler’s family, those months must have felt like an eternity, living each day not knowing if the person responsible would ever be held accountable. It’s somewhat reassuring to see that despite the initial setbacks, justice has been served with Harris’s conviction, but it can't bring Tyler back. Knowing that he will spend at least 25 years behind bars before having any chance of release is a small comfort. My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Tyler. This serves as a reminder of how diligent and persistent the justice system needs to be, especially in complex cases like this.
