Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Denise Elliott in Southeast Portland, and like many of you, I'm deeply upset about what happened. It’s hard to imagine the trauma her family, especially her daughter, must be going through after witnessing such a tragic event. Here's something I've been pondering: the neighborhood’s response to this incident. From what I've read and heard, it seems like the community has rallied to support Denise's family and push for more safety measures in the area. They've organized vigils and meetings to discuss how to prevent such violence in the future. Considering the lack of information about the suspects, I’m wondering how effective these community-based initiatives can be in assisting investigations or pressuring authorities to prioritize the case. Sometimes, public attention can really move things forward. Has anyone heard about any community projects or collaborations with local law enforcement in cases like this? It would be great to learn from others on how communities might help to both support victims' families and also aid in keeping the pressure up for justice. Denise’s family deserves answers and peace, and I genuinely hope the community's efforts can play a part in getting there. Sending strength to her loved ones during this incredibly challenging time.
