I keep thinking about the location of this tragedy—the parking lot near SE 82nd Avenue. It's such a busy area, packed with businesses and pedestrians. It makes me wonder about all the potential witnesses that day. It’s chilling to think that something so violent could happen in a place many of us frequent regularly, and yet, so often, people might just walk by without realizing the severity of what occurred. I hope anyone who was there is coming forward to assist the investigation as much as they can. Benjamin Johnson deserves that, and his family needs all the support they can get. Seeing justice served in these instances is crucial for the community. It reminds us we must stay vigilant and aware of our surroundings to potentially prevent similar tragedies in the future. What are your thoughts on public safety in such areas? Would love to hear from others familiar with that part of Portland.
