I’ve been following Derrick James Jensen’s case, and what really stands out to me is how little information has been released regarding leads or suspects. It must be profoundly difficult for his family to cope with the lack of closure or answers from authorities. I can't imagine the frustration of not knowing why this happened or who is responsible.
Considering the rise in homicides in Portland during 2020, it seems plausible that resources might have been stretched thin at the time. Does anyone here have experience with or insights into how long it typically takes for police departments to release updates on unsolved cases of this nature? I’m hoping that this receives the attention it deserves, both from the community and from law enforcement.
Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about the Portland shooting from July 26, 2020, where Derrick James Jensen lost his life. What a tragedy for his family and the community of Sandy, Oregon. I was wondering if anyone here has thoughts or information on the role of surveillance footage in this case. Given the area on North Marine Drive, there must have been some cameras around, right? It seems like this kind of evidence could be crucial in piecing together what happened that tragic day.
Does anyone know how often public or nearby business surveillance footage actually leads to breakthroughs in investigations like this one? It amazes me how technology can play a part in justice, but I guess it also depends on how effectively police can access and analyze that footage. Just thinking about it makes me hope for some answers soon. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Stay safe and look out for each other.
