I've been following Jalon Marquis Yoakum's case and can't stop thinking about the involvement of the Gresham Police Department. It's puzzling to me why they're part of this investigation when the incident happened in Portland. Could there be a connection we're not seeing, or is it just a matter of jurisdiction overlap? Portland’s crime rate has been pretty alarming, and it's deeply unsettling to see another life lost so senselessly. Jalon’s family, especially his two young boys, are surely going through a lot right now, and my heart goes out to them. It must be incredibly tough not having answers or closure. Does anyone have insights on how jurisdiction works in these cases, or why another department might step in? Keeping Jalon and his family in my thoughts.
