Has anyone else been thinking about the impact this had on the tight-knit community of Bend? It’s difficult to grasp how something so terrifying could happen in a place where many people feel so safe. I can't even imagine the shock and fear the residents must have felt in those moments. My heart goes out to Glenn Bennett’s family; losing someone so active in the community must be incredibly hard. Given how many lives he touched, it's easy to see how deeply this loss is felt. His contribution to the town over decades and his steady presence will surely leave a huge void. I'm also thinking about all the people who knew him, just going about their day at the Safeway, and then suddenly everything changes. It really makes you realize how unpredictable and precious life is. How is everyone coping with this over there?
